A new life for all of us

Well, when I started this blog it was because I wanted to share my life as a greyhound with you.

Now, almost two years since I was born we now have a new family-member.

Her daily name is Lettie, and her more professional name is Sobers Elettra.

Because our daily life now has changed so much I have now decided to start a new blog where you can take part of both me and Lettie's life together as a family.

I am looking forward to see you on our new blog, where I can promise you I still will be the silly childish Tiger as always, and Lettie, will, as always, be beautiful majestic and loveable and my new best friend for life.

To end this blog where my old life is, I am adding a couple of pictures together with my new friend, and our new life. Also joining us on these pictures is Debbie, (Batique) my lovely, beautiful old mother.

My mum and dad took care of two Hungarian Kuvasz-girls for the week-end, and boy did we have a lot of fun!

Emma and Freia are two old and proud girls.

My mum has a sick sense of humor. The other day a small child said to her mother: "Mommy mommy, look, its Bambi".

She was offcourse talking about me, strange, since I was chasing a cat down the road.

Anyway, this gave my mum and dad an idea. Offcourse, no fun for me.

Here's a big stuffed dog I got from my mum and dad. He is really soft and good to use as a pillow.

Well, my owner/mummy took care of my breeders dogs for 4 days, and she HAD to take some pictures of me and my brother, Bowie, who lives there together with his mum, his half-sister and another female.

It sure was fun there, but it was great coming home again, living my relaxing life as a lonely child!

The 10th of October, 2005 the greatest thing in the whole wide world happened (according to my mum and dad).
I was born! :-) So today, I am celebrating my first birthday.

This photo is taken in the backyard, and as you can see I don't feel very comfortable sitting on the wet grass. But because it was so important for my mom to take a picture on my birthday (not that she doesn't have enough pictures already) I tortured myself through it.

how to make your dinner last longer

If you get something good and wish it could last longer this is the perfect way to do it!

You have to lay on your back to do this, with your legs up in the air, so find a comfortable place, your bed, or if you are allowed to, your owner's sofa is a perfect place to perform this "trick".

When you have found the right position carefully stretch out your back-legs, while you reach out for the bowl with food. It might help to compare yourself with a dachs when you stretch out, because you have to make your body really loooooong.

Still laying on your back you reach out for the dog-food. Try to touch the dog-food with your nose.

When you are absolutely sure that you can not only smell the dog-food but also put your nose in it, then stick out your tongue.

If your owners are busy and sit around only waiting for you to finish the meal then this is a very successful way to make the day a little bit more fun! For you I mean...

Here is one of my other sisters, Flourish. In case you wonders, she is the white with brindle. The other lazy dog laying there is my half-sister, Chanta. They share the same house and it sure looks like they are really good friends!

As you can see they get the best treatment ever, weither its laying in the sofa or running around in Budal.

Ok, my mum was on a big dog-show in Oslo, (and didn't take me with her, how rude).
Anyway, there she got to meet one of my black sisters, Fröya (Trendy Black Tulip).
My mum loved her gorgeous face, and she was such a little heartbreaker.
Her new parents was really nice as well, and it would be fun to some day be able to play with her, because she looks like a girl I could have a lot of fun with!!

July 10th, 9 months old!

And how did my owner celebrate the day? By taking a bunch of pictures where I had to stand like a stuffed animal.
Oh well, here I am. 9 months and having the future ahead of me.

Later that day my little cousins came to visit. Here I am with one of them (Sebastian). He is 1 1/2 year old and when he is allowed to he loves to give me treats. As long as he sits on a lap or I lay down on the ground I wont scare him. But if I stand up beside him he thinks I'm getting too tall, so I tend to lie down whenever he is around. I think kids are great fun though, and my mom watch over me all the time so that no one is mean to me!

I am very sweet-natured when I am around them, calm and cuddly.

Meeting my big-brother, Sisco- Dressed in Black

Sniffing on my big-brother Sisco, the Black Lightning, for one of the first times. He was big but fun. He ran around and I couldn't follow him. We didn't get to play for a long time because I was so small, but I will never forget that moment!

He is actually my half-brother, but I just LOVE him. My mummy can't even say his name out loud if I'm present, as that would cause me running around whining. I look up to him and want to be just like him. Cool and black and fast!

We meet regularly and I am very grateful to Sisco's owner Marie, for meeting us on play-dates.
She even use me sometimes as a feeding-machine, because Sisco sometimes eats better if I am there with him. And because we both are so nice we can eat beside each other!

4 months old and my first dog-show

Just a few days after my 4 month-day my owner took me to a dog-show.
She was very nervous because the judge was Espen Engh, a well-known Greyhound-breeder.
We drove for a long while, and even took a boat, to a place called Ölen, and my Breeder Henriette, my brother Bowie and my half-sister Lotta was also there.

I did better than my owners expected and became BOB, BOG, and BIS5!
Everybody was so happy after this day, but I was more happy than anyone. I was tired because of the long day and couldn't wait untill we got home to my dear bed!

3 1\2 months old

And playing in the snow. Its very cold here in Stavanger, and the first weeks I didn't want to go outside my garden. And I HATED the leash, but after a VERY patient mom tricked me into walking several meters every day I found out I would get home quicker if I just walked. I walked sooo fast, and didn't even look around or sniff on anything. I had only one goal in my eyes. GET HOME FAST.
My grandparents and my owners was so proud when they found out they had trained me into walking on the leash, although I don't understand the fuzz as it was ME who decided WHEN this would happened!

8 weeks and 6 days

When I was 8 weeks and 6 days I went home with my new owner. I recognize her from earlier as she was a baby-sitter for me and my brothers and sisters when my breeders had to work.
But offcourse I cried a lot the first night, I didn't want to sleep in my own bed because my owners bed looked so much better.

My color is bluebrindle, if anyone wondered. And I was born as a dog with a natural T-name because of my look-alike white T on my chest.

Tiger, the Trendy Greyhound is born

First I have to tell you that some of July 2006 will be when I started my life. Because my owner didn't create a blog right away!

I am a Trendy Greyhound, which offcourse says it all. A VERY trendy dog living outside Stavanger, if you drive about 15 minutes, you will find us down by the Atlantic ocean...
My more "correct" name would be Trendy Blue Tiger, but my daily name is Tiger.

And here I am. My owner has been dreaming of owning a dog like me for years, and waiting for this litter for at least one year...if I remember correctly!
My breeder who owns Trendy Greyhounds got 8 puppies on the 10th of October. Four boys and four girls. I was the biggest one, but after a while my brothers and sisters started to catch up on me. My owner says that is a good thing. She is soooooo thankful for having me, and I offcourse take advantage of that everyday!
